Who We Are

At The Renewal and Transformation Project, we are passionate about helping believers heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We recognize that faith and mental wellness are not in opposition,  they work together. Our Christ-centered approach equips individuals, churches, and Christian organizations with the tools, support, and biblical guidance needed to walk in freedom, wholeness, and purpose.

By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT) and Emotional Intelligence with the active healing power of the Holy Spirit, I help you identify the roots of soul wounds and dismantle the strongholds of the enemy.

The Journey: From Diagnoses to Deliverance

When "The Good News" Felt Like Heavy Chains

In 2012, my world collapsed. I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder with psychosis. I turned to my community for help, but instead of "binding up the brokenhearted," the church I attended met me with judgment. I was told I didn’t pray enough. I was told I didn't read my Bible enough. I was told I had demons or that God was punishing me.

In 2013, the darkness deepened. I lost a significant portion of my memory and was forced to walk away from my dream of becoming an Accountant, leaving college in my second year. For years, my relationship with God was a battlefield of confusion. I felt unloved, punished, and deeply frustrated by a "spiritualization" of my pain that offered no real relief.

The Cycle of Clinical Confusion

In 2018, I was a prisoner to a rotating door of diagnoses: Bipolar 2, then Bipolar 1, and eventually Severe Borderline Personality Disorder. Between 2014 and 2018, every August through December, I was haunted by suicidal ideation. Psychologists were puzzled; medication was constantly changing; some professionals even gave up and walked away from my case.

Yet, in the midst of the chaos, a mystery arose: my brain scans were perfectly healthy. The doctors couldn't pinpoint the "why." There was no physical or psychological explanation for the psychosis, memory loss, medication not working, , anxiety, racing thoughts, and extreme depression I was experiencing.

The Prayer That Changed Everything

In November 2018, after a suicide attempt and three weeks in the hospital, I hit rock bottom. I was placed on test medication because I had taken almost every medication that my attending Dr was recommending, and we eventually settled on Lithium. I was discharged in early December and sent home with just enough medication for a week. However, in a week, I had my appointment at my local clinic to see a Psychiatrist. I met with the psychiatrist, gave her my history, the recent experience, and the current medication I was on. Like many Psychiatrists and Psychologists that I have seen before, she was puzzled. The psychiatrist asked about my faith, and I told her I am Christian, and she said something unexpected: “Look at this through a spiritual lens.” This changed everything for me, but I was curious and not resistant at all.

In January 2019, I made a different kind of prayer. For the first time, I didn't ask for healing. I asked for the purpose. I asked the Lord: "What is Your purpose for my life?"

A Divine Intervention

Through a series of "accidental" lapses in the healthcare system, missing scripts and unavailable medication, I found myself without my prescriptions for three months. During that time, something miraculous happened: I was fine. I was alive. I was functioning.

When I finally received a refill in mid-February, I took the medication for two nights. By the third day, the familiar, crippling depression returned. My mother and I looked at each other and realized the truth. We threw the medication away, and I have never touched it since.

God didn’t just heal my symptoms; He delivered my soul.

Hello,

I’m Cordelia Sikwele, the founder of The Renewal and Transformation Project. My calling is to help believers experience emotional and mental healing through Christ, to live whole, free, and anchored in God’s truth.

This calling is deeply personal. For years, I lost the battle in my own mind, weighed down by multiple mental health diagnoses and living far from the life Christ intended for me.

The Lord didn’t just bring me out; He brought me out with a mandate.

  • 2020: I became a Certified Life Coach.

  • 2023: I began serving believers struggling with their mental health.

  • 2025: The Holy Spirit gave me a specific instruction: Focus on the warfare of the mind, the breaking of mental bondage, and the healing of trauma from both a psychological and spiritual view.

The 6-Year Question: "Lord, What Happened to Me?" Even after my healing in 2019, one question haunted me: Why? Why the memory loss? Why did the brain scans show health while my mind felt like a war zone? Why did the medication fail so spectacularly?

I asked the Lord for years, but the answer didn't come until August 2025.

Through the Holy Spirit, the revelation finally broke through: What I had experienced was the warfare of the mind. Because the root was 100% spiritual, it manifested as a "psychological ghost", something that imitated every clinical symptom of Major Depression, Psychosis, Bipolar, and Borderline Personality Disorder, but could never be cured by clinical means. The doctors were puzzled because they were trying to treat a spirit with a pill. This is why I do what I do today; I help you identify when the battle isn't just in your neurons, but in your spirit.

I am not here to tell you that "it's all in your head" or that you "need to pray more." I am here because I have walked through the fire of psychosis, the labels of personality disorders, and the silence of a misunderstood church, and I have seen the Holy Spirit rebuild the ruins. I am an Accountant of a different kind now: helping you account for the Truth of God’s Word over the lies of the enemy.

Why We Advocate for Christian Mental Health & Emotional Healing

Our work is driven by a deep conviction that believers deserve support for their mental and emotional well-being. We believe:

  1. Faith and healing work together. Seeking help is an act of aligning with God’s desire for wholeness.

  2. Trauma silently shapes lives. Unhealed pain can distort identity, relationships, and spiritual growth.

  3. Renewal of the mind is biblical. Scripture has the power to transform thought patterns shaped by trauma.

  4. The church often overlooks mental health. We bridge the gap by offering faith-based tools alongside prayer.

  5. Wholeness unlocks purpose. Healed believers rise and fulfill their God-given calling.

  6. Safe spaces matter. We create environments where believers can speak openly without shame.

  7. Emotional healing strengthens spiritual life. Healing leads to freedom, clarity, and intimacy with God.
